We went camping over the weekend and it was finally cool enough for a campfire. It has been such a hot summer and we have waited to have a nice campfire. We went to one of the Army Corps Parks at Lake Hartwell, called Springfield. They have nice big sites but most of the sites are now NOT waterfront. There is hardly any water left in Lake Hartwell, except in the big part of the lake. It's amazing to see parts of the lake that we used to jetski in or the kids would swim in (over their head) and now its all dried up.
My sister (Denise) and brother in law(Doug) drove up from Georgia so it was a nice relaxing visit with them. We cooked out hotdogs & hamburgers. They got to see Chelsea for the first time.
Today, I went to a cake decorating class at Micheals. It was fun. It's a 4 week class and she is going to teach us to make cool, decorated cakes. Sheila and I were the only 2 there so we will get all her attention. That will be great so that we can learn all that we can......

Following in Her Brother's Footsteps??
Well, after 6 weeks of school, Cassie decided she didn't like playing the clarinet. So we went back to the Music & Arts store and traded her clarinet in for an alto sax. Zack had to say "I told you so" because he told her to play the sax from the beginning but she admitted that she chose the clarinet because her friends were playing the clarinet...
So after a few days, she is enjoying the sax. Mr. Wenger told her that she was a natural, just like her brother. I hope she sticks with this instrument. I had to buy new reeds, a new book and a new cleaning kit.....so if anyone out there needs a clarinet book, reeds or a cleaning kit, let me know....
