DAY 4....BELIZE... Our ship was anchored out in the ocean, so we took a water taxi to the mainland...
Then from there, we took a small boat to a Private Island, called Bannister Island...
It was a beautiful island in the middle of nowhere....
Wanda, Georgia, WC & I stayed on the island to sunbath while Donnie & Scott were taken out to the ocean to snorkel...
These tables were cool in the middle of the water....
Jellyfish...
View back at the island from the wharf...
We went to look for Manatees....they say you only see them 25% of the time but we got to see him!! Scott has been waiting to see a Manatee for many years....
There is his snout....
These were our tour guides and the boat we took....
DAY 5....ROATAN
This guy was creepy...he wanted money to take his picture...
we had a tour guide all day and he took us around the island....This is an old Governor's Mansion.
This side of the island, we went shopping. I bought a nice big bowl and smaller bowls made out of mahogany.
Our whole group minus Bev & Jimbo went on this excursion...
This was carved out of one piece of Mahogany. It was in a welcome center of a resort.
Kids at a school doing marching band...
We stopped at a local restaurant. It had some good food. Fried Shrimp was the best I ever had :)
We went to see the Monkeys....they were so cute, except one peed on me & Barry :)
You could feed them some bananas...
Beautiful Birds...
This Monkey unscrewed the cap off the water and tipped it up to drink...hilarious....
Our tour guide, Derek, Wanda, the owner of the Monkey Farm (and tour company), Shannan
He took us to a resort so we could see the beach..
This island had the nicest, clearest water of all the ports. Next time I go, I am going to spend all day at the beach...It was beautiful~
Starfish...
We made it back to the ship in plenty of time....It was a great day in Roatan....
We came into a different side of the island because it was windy that day and our ship couldn't go into the other side....This is Royal Caribbean's wharf...
That night we went to the Chef's Art Restaurant. It was sooo good. We had lobster and Filet..
