Being 15 has privileges

Well, Since Zack turned 15 yesterday he wanted to go get his driving permit today. So off we went to the DMV, we had to wait for about 40 minutes...there was a long line. Then he took the test and passed. He got his mug shot taken and we were done.

I took him over to Dorman High to see if he wanted to drive a little. That's a good place because there is a lot of drive way and some speed bumps too.

He actually did a good job. At first he slammed on the breaks until he figured out how the breaks worked lol...

I think with practice he'll be a good driver....Just pray for me in the meantime because it will be a long time before he drives on his own...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACK

Today is Zack's 15th Birthday....It's hard to believe that my baby is 15. He was born a 5 1/2 lb. 19 inch long precious boy. We had been trying 3 years to have him and finally God answered our prayers. He is now 6' 1" young man. We are very proud of Zack and all that he has already accomplished.
We took him and a few of his friends to lunch today and his favorite place, Kanpai of Toyko. The waiter gave him a hat, some chopsticks and made him a "rice cake". Zack & Griffin.

Brian & Marybeth.
Scott & Cassie. Of course I was there but took the pictures lol...

I think he had a great year... We can only pray that he has another happy & healthy year. Also, that he takes all that he can learn this year and absorb it like a sponge...

My Top 8 gifts for 2008

I hope you all had a great Christmas...our family had a great day. After we opened gifts we just hung out all day playing games, relaxing, and eating leftover goodies. On Christmas Day, it's the one day that I don't take a shower or even get dressed. I stay in my pj's all day and it's a great day just spending time with the kids and my husband.

I got some great gifts from friends & family. I was thinking about all the things that I got and I decided to blog the top 8 things for 2008.

1. The Most Meaningful gift that I got was a Jesus Face Hologram from my sister. You turn the light on and everywhere you move his face follows you. It's really cool. I made video so that you can check it out below. After all Jesus is the reason for the season.

2. The biggest gift I got was a new living room set. We refinished our living room two years ago with a new fireplace, hardwood, paint etc and we made it more neutral colors and I still had a blue leather set so we went to better color and more comfortable set. Scott & I have our own chair and a half recliners and the kids get their reclining couch. I Love it....It was delivered on Monday.

3. The Most Useful gift I got was an external hard drive for my laptop. Ever since I have owned a digital camera I have put all my pictures on the computer and haven't backed them up. Scott is afraid that something will happen to my laptop one day and all of my pictures will be gone. So I have backed them all up on this great hard drive.....

4. The most fun gift I got was a video slot machine game for the computer. We had a great time playing the penny machines in Vegas that Scott thought I could play all day at home for FREE....

5. The most soothing present I got was a foot massage with heat. My feet always hurt and this will be a great gift to use at the end of each day...thanks honey....

6. The most practical gifts I got were some new scissors & pens. Scott buys these constantly and they always "disappear" and the kids have no idea where they went lol....we'll see how long these ones stay around.
7. The best smelling gift I got was a bottle of clinique happy and some lotion to go with it from Elaine & Robert. I also got a great smelling candle from my sister...

8. The best gift I got this year is priceless. It's the moment when Zack realized that he got a new sax for Christmas...the look on his face made me want to cry....

Here's the video of Jesus Hologram...It's really cool to see....

What were your favorite gifts this year??? I'd love to know...

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Christmas Eve, we made a dinner and Scott's Dad came over. We had the traditional ham and all the fixings. Then we exchanged gifts. It was a good night. This is Scott's Dad, Robert and his wife Elaine.

Zack & Brendan

Cassie & Elaine's two children Brian & Lynn.

Our tree with all the presents waiting to be opened Christmas Day.

Our stockings after Santa filled them up....Even Kobe, Chelsea & Chloe have one :)

Zack had a great time opening gifts. He got 6 months worth of playing on his favorite computer game, World of Warcraft.

He also got the Guitar Hero World Tour Band Game. It has the game, guitar, drums and microphone included. He was happy about that.

The gift he had no idea that he was getting was a new professional sax....he was so excited when he got it....

Cassie also got lots of gifts that she wanted. She got some pixos, clothes, pictionary man, a few wii games etc.

She also got 8 webkins....she couldn't wait to register them all online.

The dogs even had a great day. They got lots of snacks, bones and some toys.
