Dorman Marching Band

First Home Game....

They Marched in their summer uniform...

Next Home Game...they were in their full uniforms....

Their theme this year was Past, Future and Present...

Marching Band is a HUGE commitment....But they both did really well and stuck to it. It was a long season. They finished in the top 4 of the State at the competitions, beating their rival, Byrnes High School. They also travelled to Indianapolis for the Nationals and they did well...

It was Cassie & Zack's first year marching...Zack has always swam for the Dorman Swim Team, but I think he enjoyed this much better. Cassie was the only 8th grader in the District playing an instrument in the Marching Band!!

I was very busy over the summer making cakes....I don't believe there was one week without a cake....I loved making each and every one of them....

Day at Lake Greenwood....August 12th

We were invited to the Bain's Lake House in Lake Greenwood a few days before school was about to start.... Zack on the float and Nick fell (jumped) off....

Sunset was beautiful.....

What we didn't know was that Zack had Mono that day....We found out the next day at the Dr's. But he recovered very quickly. He only missed a half day of school. He was very tired for weeks and missed some of the marching band practices but overall was quick to bounce back. Thanks to God for watching over him....
