Happy 16th Birthday Zack

Zack turned 16 on Monday, December 28th. Even though he is sweet 16, he didn't want to make it a big deal with a party so we kept it low key lol...He had a friend spend the night before his birthday and they stayed up most of the night playing video games....

Then on his birthday, he chose to go to Kanpai of Toyko for lunch. So Brian & Marybeth Lambert, Denise & Kalyn Monday, Cassie & I went with Zack to Kanpai... It was good!!

Zack blowing out his rice "cake"...
Zack wanted an icecream cake for his birthday and since I haven't attempted to make one yet, I ordered him one from Publix!! But soon, I am going to make one because I didn't like having to buy a cake...especially since I make my own lol....
He wanted pizza for dinner, so we got Papa Johns. Then he had Nick spend the night for two nights and they played video games about all night...
We got him his Varsity Jacket for his birthday, except it won't be in til the middle of January....and most of our family gave him money for his Greece trip coming up this summer. He said that he would rather get money towards his trip then have presents....He's a great kid. We are very proud of Zack and all that he has accomplished already in his 16 years. Somedays, I wish he was 6 again because it won't be long and he'll be going off to college and making a new life for himself and I'll be sad...:)

McAdenville....
We drove up to McAdenville, NC on Sunday with the Glovers to see all of the lights in McAdenville. I had been hearing that the light display is awesome in this town for many years and this year I got to see them. We waited in line for about 2 hrs before we got to see them but it was worth it...they were awesome...

The pictures don't do the lights justice...it was beautiful...

This was a huge wreath....

Cool, red, white & blue tree....

Loved this house...it was really cute...

Trees were all lit up on the water...

We stopped for a photo op with the snowman....Eric, Tyler & Scott

Love this one...it might have to go on the calendar for next year :)

Scott & I...Cassie was with us too but wouldn't get out of the car...she didn't want her picture taken...
Me & Jennifer...in front of a huge tree all lit up..

Our Christmas Decorations....

We got new stockings this year....

We even have a snowman that plays the sax....

We made these out of glass blocks a few years ago...

Roper Mountain Lights....
We went to Greenville to see the Roper Mountain Christmas Lights with the Glovers...it was fun!

Tyler invited Mayci & Abby to go with us....

We went to see the balloon guy and he made all the kids a cool balloon...

Tyler got an elf hat....isn't he cute??

Abby & Mayci got a penguin, Cassie got a reindeer and Tyler got an elf hat.

The Glovers...

Tyler's elf Daddy :)

I can definately say that I have found someone that loves to go see Christmas lights as much as I do...or even more than I do...Jennifer & Eric LOVE it.....Besides going to McAdenville and Roper Mountain to see lights with the Glovers we also went to Fountain Inn, Simpsonville, & Pelzer one night looking at lights too. We had a lot of fun. We wanted to put Scott out of the car a few times cause he thinks if you've seen one Christmas light display, you've seen them all BUT that is not true :)

Two days before Christmas....

Kobe with Reindeer antlers....

Kalin Monday came over and spent the night with Cassie. She is a fun girl with lots of energy...
Cassie & Kalin decorated a Gingerbread House...they wouldn't let me help....they wanted to do it all by themselves without Mom...

They both took a side of the house and decorated it the way they wanted....This is Kalin's side...

Cassie did the front of the house...

Cassie's side of the house....

Ooops...I guess I didn't turn this one before I uploaded it...anyways...Kalin did the back of the house...

The next morning they got up and wanted to "eat" the house...so they did....well, some of it anyways.. :)

Christmas Eve....
Abby & Mayci came down and opened their present. We got them Mexican Train, which they have enjoyed playing....

Brian & Elaine came for dinner and we also exchanged gifts with them...

Lynn and her new boyfriend, Paul came too...

And of course, Grandpa came... We had a nice ham dinner with all the fixings and dessert. They got me a real nice glass cake plate....now I can display all my cakes on it... :)

Christmas Day....
Cassie has been singing all I want for Christmas is a hippopotamus, so Scott got her one...

She couldn't wait to get her Northface Jacket....She loves it...

Zack was waiting for his Borderlands game for the XBox...Needless to say, we didn't see him much the rest of the day :) He also got a few more games, some clothes, money, devotion book..

Even Chloe got a toy with some catnip in her stocking.

Cassie with all her loot...She mainly wanted clothes...She got a couple of Hollister Hoodies, some Hollister shirts, pair of sneakers, webkinz, pants and a few games for computer....

I was excited, my hubby bought me a new laptop...it is sooo much faster then my old one...I love it...

I didn't think I was that good this year to get two awesome gifts this year...but santa also brought me a Kitchenaid Mixer....Yeah!! Now I don't have to make all that frosting with my hand mixer....
We had a great Christmas Day....The Glovers came over in the afternoon and we had some good leftovers from our dinner and theirs. Jenn gave me the coolest basket so that I can carry food etc. back and forth to other parties...I need to take a picture and post it....It's cool :
